The Bytown Museum

The Bytown Museum
2012

Shelbi

The project is on the Bytown Museum (formerly OPC) in Ottawa. The project explains how the building built in 1827 has evolved into today's Bytown Museum of Ottawa. The project also focuses on the importance of the building to the origins of the city of Ottawa and underscores why it is essential to preserve buildings like the Commissioner for future generations. The project consists of a bulletin board with photos, texts, some replicas of items in the museum made by Shelbi and Aiden and includes an example of pottery that is found in Commissioner (Bytown Museum), also by Shelbi and Aiden. The project is written in French and English. The model was built and painted to resemble the building that houses the museum.
