The Inuit: Myths and Legends

I investigated Inuit myths and legends and how they have been affected by the land they live in. I have also looked at what lesson we might learn from their stories.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

The most interesting the I learned about my project is that the myths and legends of the Inuit have built a base for their community and culture.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

A lesson that I have learned and want to share with other Canadians is that the myths and legends of the Inuit are important to them and play a role in their community. Also that they aren't just stories; they are life lessons.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

My life today is very different from the lives of those who are studied in my project because they have a lot more respect for the animals and land around them, like for example while they are hunting for food they give a prayer to the animals before killing them. In my life today it's not like that.
