How did the battle of Hochwald Gap affect the course of history? What was the outcome when the battle was over, etc.?
What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?
The most interesting thing I've learned about my topic is that when the allied forces fought the Germans they didn't just fight the Nazis they fought the Germans that weren't Nazis.
What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?
Some important lessons I've learned is that people who were in the army put their lives on the line to keep our freedom. Another lesson is that violence is not the way to solve problems.
How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?
I would compare the amount of time I have to make choices because if you a person in the battle for the Hochwald Gap you'll have to make choices on the spot but in everyday normal life you have tons of time to make choices.
