Registration is between 8:15 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. in the front foyer of McArthur Hall. Students will receive their project #, colour group and gym location at this time.
All student after registering and setting up their projects should report to the auditorium for a short introduction to the procedures of the day.
Students will be placed into a colour group for the day and will be escorted throughout the day by one or in most cases two group leaders. The Colour Identification Tags they receive will include their group’s schedule for the day. The rotation will include: Judging, Heritage Workshops and Community Street. A break for washroom visits and travel time to the next activity is provided between each activity.
The cafeteria is closed, however, a canteen run by food services will be available on Student Street. Students, if they wish, can purchase light lunch items from the canteen or as most students will do, bring a lunch from home. Snacks will be provided for the students by the Fair committee at various times throughout the day.
Water stations are located close to the Registration Table. Students will be provided with a KRHF water bottle at registration for their use during the day and as a souvenir of their time at the fair.
The public is welcome to attend the Award Ceremonies which begin at 1:30 p.m. The award ceremony will end as close to 2:15 as possible as some of our students need to catch buses to return to their schools in time for regular closing time.
Following the awards the students are asked to remove their projects from the gym for transportation home or to their schools. We ask that they check carefully to make sure that they have all their belongings.
